Western Technical College s district is expected to see a double-digit increase in the need for workers to maintain automated control systems. The Industrial Machine Controls technical diploma provides you with the basic skills to observe and test the operation of machinery, diagnose problems, repair and maintain the operating condition, and study blueprints or manufacturer s manuals to determine correct installation or operation. Completion of the technical diploma can lead to employment within industrial or manufacturing settings to repair and maintain equipment. This program is the child program of a pathway. It is an Embedded Technical Diploma within the Automation Systems Technology Program as well as within the Manufacturing Systems Maintenance Technology program.
